Hello, and welcome to VM402, 21st Century Docs: Recent Non-Fiction Cinema! During the spring 2011 semester, this blog will be an important part of our class, serving as an extension of our classroom discussions, as a space for continued debates about the films and issues examined in this course, and as a place to share your ideas about recent non-fiction cinema.
Ground rules: all students are required to post thoughtful and articulate comments each week, and you're all encouraged to make connections between the material we cover in this course and your own professional and personal experiences. Be as interdisciplinary and creative as you want to be! Engage your peers in lively (and respectful) debates! Ask provocative questions! Be a devil's advocate, but always keep a critical voice and support your arguments.
